How to reach BEST WESTERN Hotel Re Enzo.

The BEST WESTERN Hotel Re Enzo is in the centre of Bologna, a 10-minute walk from Piazza Maggiore, a captivating square tucked between red buildings and home to the splendid St. Petronius Basilica, the Palazzo del Podestà, the Palazzo Re Enzo, the gilded prison of the son of king Frederick II of Hohenstaufen. Built in the 13th century, this fascinating building hosts conferences and is an important Multifunctional Centre.
Just a short distance away is the Palazzo dei Notai, the heart of the city's medieval political and social life. Further on you'll find the beautiful architecture of the town hall, with its magnificent clock tower, and in the adjacent Piazza Nettuno the monumental fountain of the same name.

The ancient Via Emilia entered Bologna by the two towers that are its symbol: Torre Garisenda e Torre degli Asinelli, with a basement portico that is now the store front of a number of small craft shops. On a clear day, we recommend climbing to the top of the tower to admire the view.

The BEST WESTERN Hotel Re Enzo is 10 minutes from the Bologna Museum of Modern Art (MAMBO). With a collection of over 3000 modern works of art, it is one of the city's most prominent museums and includes works by Guttuso, Pomodoro and Morandi, to whom a museum is dedicated at the Palazzo d’Accursio.
The centre of Bologna is home to the city's prestigious university, the oldest in the Western world, which still attracts thousands of students to the city, giving Bologna surprising vitality and enriching its cultural and social life.

Beyond the historic city centre, Bologna stretches out around the exhibition and commercial area which was the biggest in Europe for a long time. The Fiera di Bologna complex hosts many different shows, including the Fiera del Libro per Ragazzi (children's book fair), la Fiera della Cosmesi (cosmetics fair) and the Motorshow, one of the world's most famous motor shows.

Bologna is a city that never denies itself the pleasures of life. Its eating establishments provide generous servings of the most sublime food. Evenings can be spent watching plays or dance shows. Nights can be whiled away enjoying a jazz solo or the deafening sound of alternative music. The centre is full of food shops selling fresh pasta, cold meats and prestigious wines. Excellent shopping is guaranteed by boutiques and stylish city centre outlets. Basketball and football have an ancient and prestigious tradition in the city and provide many unmissable events.
